Mood board-House

Below is a mood board of different images of song covers our possible genre of house music, this is beneficial as we see that it will help us see the theme and conventions of the genre and will therefore help in the production of the music video.

This mood board demonstrates that overall there is a lot of bright colours and often they are used to contrast with a black background so that they can stand out more, we can also see how they are often using special effects to create the image they are not just an image of something. 

This will benefit the mise en scene of our video as we can infer from this that we should use different colours to contrast with black background in the video to give it the image of being a house music video. This should also be represented in the character costumes as they will wear bright colours to both grab the viewers attention and also conform to this stereotype. 

The font that is used is very similar in most of the images as we can see that they all use capital letters and in most of them the writing is blocked and easy to read. The writing is always placed in the middle of the images but changes as to how high or low it is places. We can apply this when we make our picture for our song as we will place the text in the middle and will type it in capitals. 

(David Guetta- Falling to pieces) This cover for the single strongly conforms to what is covers for house music as we can see that there is a dark theme in the background but them lighter colours in the foreground of the image. This could connote that the images in the foreground and also in the centre of the frame, which are of him and a bright purple/blue coloured wolf represent the genre more as they are key in the image and represent the music as being lively and upbeat. This is also represented by the colour of the wolf as usually they are shown as being more of a grey colour but this time the wolf is bright purple which is more of an exciting colour along with the wolf itself representing the music as exciting. 

From this we will be able to create our poster as if we chose the genre of house then we will have bring colours in the foreground of the image as the genre is focused around having fun and bright colours and sound so we will attempt to replicate this in our poster.
