Brief- To create promotional packaging for a music video and also the create the video.
We have chosen this brief instead of the other brief as we feel like this will be the brief which allows us to demonstrate creativity within both the editing and filming part of the project as we can use new editing techniques to make our project look professional and be the best that it can be, also with this project we will be able to attempt different shot types which will be more creative and therefore enhance our knowledge.
Strengths

It is something that we all are interested in as all of
our group enjoy music and the videos.
·
We have skills in the editing as we used lots of it in
out A1 project particularly involving sound as we had lots of sound clips
inserted into our project.
·
We know people who potentially would want to
participate in the video.
·
The project gives us an opportunity to be creative and
use a variety of different sound as edit the clips so that the music matches
the sound.
·
We can improve our skill set as we will be using
different ways of editing the clips and video so that it is effective and we
will therefore develop our skill set whilst doing this.

Weaknesses
|
·
We all have different tastes in music and therefore the
song or genre we chose will not be exactly what we all want so we will have
to find a middle ground.
·
We may have copyright issues if we chose to do a
well kown song or just any song with copyright so will have to contact the complany to request to use the song
· We will stryuggle to find a place in which to film the video once we decide on a genre wich will look authentic.
·
We will have to work hard and fast in order to meet the
dedline, along with this we will have to make the product to the standards
that we want it to be at.

Opportunities
|
·
We will have many opportunities to expand our knowledge
of the editing software that we will be using which will in turn help us if
we ever use it in the future.
·
We can be experimental with the shot types in the video
as we don’t have to stick to the conventions as rigidly as we did stick to
them in our previous project.
· We have the opportunity to explore a range of different
genres.

Threats
|
·
There is the possibility that the video may look too
unprofessional depending on the camera and the setting.
·
It will be hard to make our video unique and different
from the rest.
·
There is 3 of us in the group and not much space in the
video to bring in new creative shots and ideas so we will have to split it up
well together and have the video flow well along with having new and
innovative ideas.
